Physiotherapy
Marla is a dedicated Physiotherapist who has a passion for working with children. She has over 18 years of experience, spending the last 10 years working in a home care setting, carrying a pediatric caseload. Marla has worked with children in both the home and school settings, treating a diverse population from chronic conditions to acute injuries including medically fragile children. She has worked with children from infancy to adulthood. Marla works diligently to provide children, their families and their educators with strategies to optimize their participation in daily activities. Marla has recently focused on sensory processing and assisting children with ASD to manage their environment and improve overall function. She has spoken for the last 2 years at the Autism Job Conference (Hire Higher) in Burlington focusing on the importance of exercises on sensory integration. She lives in Burlington with her husband, daughter and two step-sons. Marla provides in-home physiotherapy for children in Burlington and in Oakville.
