Iriny is a registered Social Worker in Ontario who has earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2008 and an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Rehabilitation Services from York University. Since 2006, Iriny has provided individual counselling for men, women, and children dealing with anxiety, depression, family conflict, grief, and trauma, such as survivors of childhood abuse. She uses a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution-focused Therapy, and Mindfulness. As a student, she worked with children receiving treatment at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto and worked on a crisis line dealing with self-harm, suicide, and other crisis events. Iriny is currently pursuing additional training to become Trauma Certified and a Certified Grief Counsellor with a focus on children and youth. Iriny believes that different situations and different personalities lend themselves to different types of therapies. She is most passionate about helping clients in their journey to gain balance and meet their goals
