Devika is an internationally trained Occupational Therapist with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from KMCH College of Occupational Therapy, Tamil Nadu, India. She began her professional career at the Neurogen Brain and Spine Institute in India, where she worked as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist providing individualized assessments, evidence-based interventions, family education, and group therapy.
Her clinical background includes working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delays, Traumatic Brain Injury, Sensory Processing Disorders, Muscular Dystrophy, Down Syndrome, and various fine and gross motor challenges. Devika is skilled in implementing evidence-based approaches such as Sensory Integration Therapy, play-based interventions, handwriting programs, and ADL/IADL training to enhance children’s functional independence and participation in meaningful activities.
Currently practicing in Ontario as an Occupational Therapist Assistant, Devika is dedicated to delivering compassionate, family-centered care. Recognized for her empathy, adaptability, and strong therapeutic rapport, she strives to create positive and engaging therapy experiences for every child and family she supports. Her long-term goal is to become a fully registered Occupational Therapist in Ontario and continue contributing to the growth and well-being of children and their families through meaningful, evidence-informed practice.
