Occupational Therapist
Salina holds a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from McMaster University and has an Honours Bachelor of Child Development from Seneca College. Salina has in-depth experience in conducting assessments and interventions for children living with various diagnoses some of which include, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Hemiplegia, and Developmental Delays. Salina additionally has experience in mental health settings such as in-patient mental rehabilitation units and mental health day clinics where she designed and conducted various group sessions to address chronic disease self-management, healthy living, mindfulness, self-compassion and more.
Salina has a passion for travelling and has combined this with her passion for occupational therapy by sharing and gaining knowledge and skills within highly distinguished hospitals in Germany and Pakistan, as well as Non-Profit Organizations in Tanzania. Salina is known for her ability to build a strong rapport with clients, her cultural diversity and sensitivity, and her dedication towards adopting client centred practice. Salina strives to be dedicated to ongoing professional learning in the field of occupational therapy to increase her knowledge and skills to best support her clients in achieving their desired goals and overall quality of life.
