Speech Language Pathology
Tonya is a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). She completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh. Since graduating, Tonya has provided speech and language services to both children and adults in school settings, private practice, rehabilitation centers and hospitals. Over the last 8 years since moving to Canada, Tonya has spent her time providing services to pre-school and school-age children in Halton Region Schools. Within the school setting, Tonya works alongside educators, administrators, psychologists, social workers, child and youth workers and behaviour analysts. Tonya’s areas of expertise include preschool language development, articulation, auditory comprehension, academic and functional vocabulary, social skills, and literacy-based interventions. My therapy style is immersive and incorporates the child’s lifestyle so our sessions are child-led, fun, and engaging.
