Communicative Disorders Assistant
Rebecca is a Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) and a member of the Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC) organization. Rebecca graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor in Child Health and a minor in Linguistics. Additionally, graduated from Durham College with her Communicative Disorders Assistant graduate certificate. She has quite the experience working with children in various settings, ranging from summer camps to private schools and speech clinics. She is very passionate about working with children and youth and is dedicated to finding ways to implement fun and stimulating activities to help individuals from all walks of life use effective communication. Her areas of expertise include preschool and child language development, articulation, social skills and literacy-based interventions. By incorporating child-led, fun and engaging methods in therapy, Rebecca hopes to be a support to her clients to teach and enhance their skills and ultimately help them reach their full potential. Ultimately, Rebecca is enthusiastic, compassionate and excited to work with her clients and be the support both client and caregiver can appreciate.
